The University of Pennsylvania excavations at Kourion kept detailed records that make it possible for new generations of archaeologists to re-excavate these same sites through the archives of field notebooks and photographs as well as the objects found in tombs, a Late Bronze Age settlement, and a sanctuary dedicated to Apollo.
This lecture is presented in conjunction with the student-curated exhibition, “Kourion at the Crossroads: Exploring Ancient Cyprus,” at the Penn Museum through March 5, 2017.
